The beginning of a Lifetime of Torture.
As the greed of Europeans grew so did the demand for more and more African slaves. To fullfil this demand, the European kidnappers went deeper and deeper into Africa to capture Africans. They
then marched the Captured Africans all the way to the Atlantic coast a journey that was over hundreds of miles long. Those who were too weak to keep up were mostly murdered. The brutality of this march is well told in the picture below. Note the hanging African, who was probably murdered because he could not keep up or he tried to escape.
