The history of St. Kitts Nevis has always been told with an overwhelming Eurocentric bias. From the many tales of the British and French wars to the glorifying of the murderer, Thomas Warner. Also the mendacious perception of Columbus as the founder of the islands and the constant veneration of Lord Horatio Nelson. Emphasis has never been place on the history of people of African descent that makes up about 98% of the population. So considering that point, this is an attempt to look at the history of these beautiful islands from a black/Afrocentric perspective.

Throughout the recent history of St. Kitts Nevis, the issue of secession has always been a sticking point. Recently it has re-bounded with even more vigor with an upcoming referendum to resolve the issue. Below is the proposal for secession put forward by the Nevis Island Administration.
